Joanna Sachryn and Paul Rivinius opened the Clara Schumann anniversary year with a duo concert at both the R. Schumann Society in Frankfurt / Main and the Schumann Birth House in Zwickau. The Rarity Sonatas by the Frankfurt Composers Anton Ursprung and Ferdinand v. Hiller will soon be recorded by the duo for the label Kaleidos at Hessischer Rundfunk.
2019 will be an exciting year: From January 19 on, Joanna Sachryn will be offering master classes and concerts at the "Cello Family" Festival in Busan, South Korea.
At the beginning of February, Joanna Sachryn is looking forward to a special concert in Oradea (Romania). On February 7, she will perform Elgar's Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra, op. 85, as a soloist together with the Oradea State Philharmonic Orchestra.
Joanna Sachryn will play this year's opening concert of the Jazz Festival in Ploiesti, Romania. On November 21, she will interpret Friedrich Gulda's Concerto for Cello and Wind Orchestra in the Philharmonic "Paul Constantinescu". The work is considered a showpiece for unconventional and virtuoso compositions for violoncello.
On July 22, Joanna Sachryn will be part of a special concert experience: in the mountain church of Pitten she will perform selected works for violoncello together with Sebastian Bru, Stefan Gartmayer, Florian Eggner, Milan Karanovic and Gerhard Kaufmann as "Wiener Celloensemble 5 + 1". The six musicians present to their audience the extraordinary diversity of their instrument. In May 2018, Joanna Sachryn will travel to Shanghai for two concerts. On May 22, she will give a recital at the Music Department of Tongji University Shanghai with works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Dmitri Shostakovich. On May 26, she will be guesting at the Shanghai Symphony Hall, where she will give another concert at the Chamber Music Hall. She is accompanied on the piano by Sui Xin.

Joanna Sachryn is invited for a masterclass for chamber music, with her colleagues from the Cologne Piano Trio, between April 3-7 at the Haus Marteau Internationale Musikstätte Lichtenberg.
